CEEN will be the network that shapes how the world researches, teaches, and learns to advance entrepreneurship, building the capabilities and mindsets that will define the next generation and beyond.
We connect entrepreneurship education, research, and practice so that good ideas move freely between them. Research reaches the classroom, teaching innovation earns recognition, and the people building Canada’s entrepreneurship ecosystem find trusted peers. Our work runs all year through a peer-reviewed bilingual journal, an annual national conference, awards that celebrate excellence, and a community that spans universities, colleges, and ecosystem organizations from coast to coast. Our History
Founded in 1979 as the Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CCSBE), our organization has spent more than four decades advancing entrepreneurship in Canada. In 2026 we became CEEN, the Canadian Entrepreneurship Education Network, a name that reflects what we have always been at heart: a living network of people who research, teach, and advance entrepreneurship. The shift from “council” to “network” and from “small business” to “entrepreneurship education” marks a clearer focus, not a departure from our roots.
